Two students came to the lab and Nika explained our research and showed them some of our cool techniques!

Last day of Livia’s Internship

Livia has finished her 6 months Internship in our lab. Thank you for helping us with the single cell experiment! Good luck on your scientific path!

A wonderful evening at Karlstorbahnhof with insights into Wnt signaling!

Josy gave a talk about our work on the question “How does the Wnt signaling pathway control neighboring stem cell populations in a specific cell type-dependent manner?” at the lecture series Überlebenstrategien, a joint project of the life sciences Collaborative Research Centers at Heidelberg University and Rhein-Neckar Fernsehen (RNF).

The Bageritz lab was visited by the AG Bionik of the Studeninstiftung des deutsches Volkes

In April 2022, Linnea Hesse, the head of the AG, and 18 students visited our lab to get to know more about our research and microscopes at the institute.

Nika starts her Master thesis in our lab!

Nika obtained her B.Sc in Biochemistry at University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. She is a master student in a Developmental and Stem Cell Biology program at the Heidelberg University. She joined the lab in October 2021 as a Hiwi. During her Master thesis, she strives to understand the polarity of the muscle stem cells using a single cell transcriptomics in Drosophila.

We are happy to welcome Livia Chavent!

Livia did a Bachelor in Health Sciences at the University of Paris and came to Heidelberg for an Erasmus internship. She joined the lab in February 2022 and she is interested in stemness and stem cell niches.

Maria won the GfE poster prize in 2021!

Maria won the poster prize of the 13th GfE School “Stem cells, development, and regeneration the emergence of new tissues”.

We have a new Technical Assistant: Verena Holzwarth. Welcome to the lab!

Verena joined our team in November 2021 working part time. She helps with general lab organization tasks and also assists and provides technical support with single-cell RNAseq experiments.

We have a new PhD student: Maria Musillo. Welcome to the lab!

Maria did her B.Sc. and M.Sc. of Science at the TU Darmstadt, before she joined the lab in August 2021. She is interested in Wnt pathway specificity in the muscle stem cell niche.
